TO A LEGEND...

JD Salinger

JD Salinger is my all-time favorite author. His books, from the brilliantly written story of a boy's loss of innocence, The Catcher in the Rye, to his short story collection Nine Stories, and even his tale of two siblings, Franny and Zooey are timeless works. Many of my friends who attend Dartmouth College made it their goal to track down Salinger. He was known as a recluse who lived in the Hanover area and he supposedly spent many afternoons hidden among the shelves of the Dartmouth library. How neat it would have been to meet such an accomplished author! His writing will forever be remembered by many.
